For this painting I tried a different tactic. I started with a minimal illustration style painting for inspiration.
- It’s much easier to paint when you don’t need to separate the primary subject matter from the background
- This simple approach was more fun than struggling with blending.
- The point of painting is to get better so I won’t revisit this style too often. I need to continue to challenge myself with more difficult paintings.
